Deep scar discoloration was much better after using for several months, I’d say 40% lighter. Not sure if it will continue to get lighter with longer application.

This gel leaves a white residue on everything. Flakes off and does not provide much protection. I’m not sure how it can help the scar when it does not stay on. The patches work way better. I tried to use it on my face for a scar and it looked like I had sticky, white stuff dried and flaking off my scar. Gross! Go with the patches!
